Why Methane?

Methane is an invisible gas emitted by the agriculture, energy, and waste sectors. With a warming power 80 times stronger than that of carbon dioxide in the short-term, methane and has caused about one-third of Earth’s recent warming.

While reducing carbon dioxide emissions is key to slowing the pace of climate change, cutting methane emissions can work in tandem to rapidly cool our planet. As a result, governments around the world are now taking action.
